REACH is an EU regulation that sets restrictions for chemicals and heavy metals, both in mixtures and articles (finished products). REACH compliance is mandatory in the European Union.

Annex XVII

Annex XVII covers substances that are either banned or limited to a certain amount. Different restrictions apply depending on the product. You cannot sell products that contain restricted substances above the set limits.

Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) are substances that come with certain reporting requirements, if your product contains these.

It is essential that your supplier can ensure that all their materials and components are REACH compliant. Ideally, they can provide a test report corresponding to REACH.

Lab testing

In case your supplier cannot provide test reports, your remaining option is to book third party lab testing. REACH testing is provided by SGS, Intertek, and TUV Rheinland.
